    My SR9c.

So, my local dealer knows that I have lusted after a SR9 compact since I first heard they were coming out.

I got a call Saturday as they were closing and they told me that it was in! Went down monday and bought it as soon as they opened. I got it for a good deal too! $479

Its been a long time since I have felt giddy buying a gun

This is the CA model. It came with 2 10 round flush fitting mags. It came with 2 replacement finger rest base plates for the mags so you can get a full grip also. This was a TIGHT gun. I was very impressed with the trigger also.

That's very nice. I heard that the SR9 is getting the SR9c's trigger. I really want to wait for that. How do you like the trigger on the SR9c?

I just got one on the NRA instructor program and have fallen for it (so much so i sold my XD9sc). Its slim and great looking, and is easily the nicest gun i have shot. By that i mean it feels good when it shoots, its handling of recoil etc is very comfortable.

It is still very stiff after 300 rounds, but am working it looser each day on the back deck

The trigger on this SR9c is great. I was thinking of putting in the new ghost rocket trigger that is coming out, but from testing it I think I will leave it alone.

When I picked out my 2 SR9 full size guns, I went through the 8 or so at 2 different stores to find the ones with the best triggers. Most are OK as long as you test the trigger with an empty magazine in place. If you test the trigger with no magazine in place it will be almost twice as gritty and heavy due to the increased friciton from the magazine disconnect.

When I got my 2 other SR9's, I went home and stripped the firing pins out of the slides (If you know how to do this with a glock, you already know the basics). I cleaned out the "Ruger packing grease" from the firing pin channel and the trigger's improved easily 50% over what they were when I originally got them. There was plenty of packing grease in that channel.

The triggers do get better with use and a good clean too.

I spent some quality time with mine yesterday and it is getting better with age, after a few boxes of cheap wally world ammo it managed to maintain tight groups in every shooting method i tried (though i have yet to get used to weak hand on this one).
