    Sig 2022 sight suggestions

Best pistol I've ever had, but I don't like the Siglite night sights. Good for darkness, not so good for me in daytime conditions. The front sight completely fills the rear sight slot not letting any light thru each side - definitely makes it hard for me to quickly aquire my target. I would like the best of both worlds.... a 3-dot night sight that can work well at the range. It has to have a good "white" outline for daylight shooting - that's when most my shooting is done anyway and I want to enjoy this awesome gun. Anxious to hear what you all have to suggest.

    Regards, Steve

    Any takers?

any info will be helpful. I saw a pic of some Trijicons - looked like thay had a white border around the edge of the sight.

Sounds like you have the .40; I have both and while the 9 has large (white outlines) sights-good for daytime, the .40 does not for some reason. I asked Sig and they could not give me a good answer but the .40 does have small white dots on top of their sites for point shooting--go figure.

Yes, I do have the .40, and obviously Sig has more than 1 style of Siglite night sights.

I would suggest try replacing just the front sight with the Truglo TFO. The contrast "bright green" is different then the stock Siglite. They are also extremely bright for night time use.

The best price would be at Botachtactical (which could be a hit & miss but I've great experiences with them).

          Good luck.

            Thanks kduly

I just saw some Truglos at the guns shop today. Very bright and stuck out like a sore thumb - I liked em'. The owner said they were not as bight at night as the Tijicon. Still trying to decide.

I have TFOs, Siglites, Trijicons & Meprolight on my guns and the TFO are very bright. Very similar to the rest.
              Good luck.
