    Turner's Ad

Their ads shows a Glock 37 on sale for only $399.99. Is this a good deal on a
.45?? I'm not diggin the color scheme to much but I can deal with it for $400.

The Glock 37 is 45 GAP not ACP. They are selling them cheap because the GAP round didn't become popular and they are trying to offload the remaining guns.

Caliber is .45 GAP. This is the reason it is so cheap, nobody wants .45 GAP.
I have never shot this caliber. Not sure how expensive Ammo is or how hard to find.
You'll save around $150 to take an obscure caliber. Yu have to decide if it's worth it to you.

The GAP cartridge is an evolutionary dead end. Don't take the bait.

.45 GAP has a very specific purpose. 90% of people don't have a need for that purpose, and that's why you get so many trolls/liars/haters in all the .45 GAP threads.

Do you find the ergonomics of the Glock 17/Glock 22 to be excellent?
Do you prefer .45 over 9mm or .40, but find the .45 caliber Glock 21 (with its HUGE grip) to be uncomfortable?

If you answered YES to both questions, then the .45 GAP is exactly what you need. It's a shortened version of .45 ACP designed to fit perfectly in the standard Glock 17 frame. The Glock 37 is exactly the same size as the Glock 17, except for a slightly wider slide to accommodate the .45 caliber round.

Ammo is NOT hard to find, but it is on the expensive side (think $20-25 per 50ct). If you reload, it's a moot point because it becomes just as cheap as any other caliber.

If you're just looking for "a gun to shoot" then pass on the .45 GAP and get something with cheaper ammo. If you're looking for an SD/HD gun with .45 caliber power and the same ergos as the excellent Glock 17, then by all means buy it. I love mine

well for the haters thats good, as for the round it is not a bad round and shoots well, I have a SA in 45 GAP and like the way it shoots, ammo is around yes you have to look for it or order it online but it is there.
Should you buy one, if you want to yes, but don't buy it for your only gun.

IMO, the Glock 21SF fits this criteria perfectly. Glock 17 size (relative) and grip feel, and still shoots .45 ACP all day long.

Glock 37 in OD for $399? I'd hit it just for the heck of it..

I'm perfectly happy with my G37, and I've never had an issue with it or finding ammo. As was stated above, it's a .45 in a G17 frame which fits my hand much, MUCH better than the G21 or G21SF. I don't shoot it constantly (that's what .22's are for) and as also stated above it's niche as a HD/SD pistol is perfect. Bottom line is, after holding it and hopefully shooting it; does the frame and caliber fit your desires? If it does; don't let anyone talk you out of it, if it doesn't then walk away.
A good rifle build isn't cheap, but a bad one can be expensive!

My house; like the White House, is NOT a gun free zone!

Different strokes for different folks. I guess I must have slightly smaller hands or something, because something just feels "off" about the G21SF I tried compared to the regular G21. The G37 makes me feel right at home.

I shoot my Glock 37 all the time @ insight in the city of Artesia. They sell reloads for $15 and shoots well.

Not bad of a handgun for the price...
