    Just shot my first Glock ( a G34 )

I fell in love. I need to have one ASAP. Shot way better than my gun

Whats the cheapest place to pick a G34 up in the bay area? They were 600 @ Target masters

Yup yup! Nice pistol indeed. They are a bit pricey, not sure where to get it for less than that.

$600 doesn't seem to be bad for a g34. They are $575 online cheapest place I found. (They have many other models for $459, which is much cheaper than CA dealers), but then you are paying a high transfer fee on top of it though. Try the marketplace for a used one would be your only other good option. I saved about $80 buying my g23 from topglock.com vs local, but like I said, the price difference in the g34 probably isn't worth it.

How come I never see it talked about as much on here? What is the general opinion on the G34? Does everyone think its worth the extra money over the G17?

It def felt better in my hand than the XD and the Springfield 1911

I haven't shot a g34 but the g17 is a really nice pistol, just too big for me. I just am not a major fan of glock altogether. Mostly because of the glock is the best thing in the world crowd. I did like my xd better, but .45 isn't approved by my work so I have the g23 coming. I've shot it though and it's pretty good. The g17 was probably the best handling polymer pistol I've fire though, and you may want to consider it as well

If it felt better, then there is your answer. It is an absolute tack driver, I made the mistake of selling mine a few years ago, only to end up buying one again. The G34 is one of the most popular at IDPA/USPSA and other competitive shooting events. Ready to go straight out of the box - just get some Warren/Dawson/Sevingy sights and some ammo and you're good to go.

I really am considering the G17 but the 34 just seems like it would be better for my purpose ( purely target shooting/accuracy ). Don't want to end up getting the g17 and wishing I would of got the improvements of the g34. I handled a lot of the XD's and I didn't particularly like the grip without the grooves

Yeah it really did feel better. I went through every page of the 'Post your 1911' thread in the gallary, amazed at how good they all looked, but when I handled one for the first time today, I wasn't really feeling it

Yeah if you are looking for pure target and accuracy get the g34. $600 really isn't bad for that. I know it's well above that around here.

$600 is a good price. I paid $630 for mine locally.

Here is the best deal for a new Glock:

Sign up for a $35 one year GSSF membership here: http://gssfonline.com/

Membership in GSSF makes you eligible for one GLOCK a year for a discounted price. I'm not sure what the G34 goes for, but current price for a G17 is ~$425. I think that the G34 is around $50 more, but don't rely on my fuzzy memory. See here for details: http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/show....php?t=1185545

ETA: I found the PDF from Glock. A G34 is $507+ tax and DROS through GSSF's new prices. http://gssfonline.com/2010_GSSF_PPP_INFO_021610.pdf
