1911 thumb safety compatibility

This is a simple question but I can not recall the answer.
Is the thumb safety on a compact/Officers model the same part as on a full size 1911?

I feel dumb asking this, I should know the answer but I'm drawing a blank.
If I want to put an ambi safety on my RIA compact any standard 1911 ambi safety should work right?

The thumb safety should be compatible between the full size and compact model 1911s. Of course, it will need to be properly fitted.

That's what I thought but I could not stop thinking that there might be some oddity due to size.
