I looked at a CZ today.I felt really good but heavy.I didn't like the slide. It's really thin to grab onto and rack.Looking to replace my G22 and I can't decide.I know I want a 9mm.

It's not too tough to get used to, and there are (arguably) benefits of having the slide ride inside the frame rails. After a few hundred rounds it loosens up a lot, too. Sigs and Berettas are the other popular choices for metal frame 9mm handguns. I have a Sig and a CZ and overall they're about tied in my opinion (Sig is a little bulkier, but trigger is slightly better).Last edited by Dr Rockso; 05-16-2010, 12:09 AM. -
You should look at the CZ P-01. It's lighter, and it's oh-so-slightly smaller than the regular CZ75. It's much like how a Glock 23 would compare to your Glock 22. Same great ergonomics as the fullsize CZ75, but with a lightweight alloy frame and DA/SA decocker if you're into that kind of thing.Comment

You get used to it. I had the same concerns when I bought my CZ. Now I don't even notice it. The benefits are lower bore line and a very tight, smooth and long fit between the slide and frame which makes it a very accurate gun. the frame takes less of a beating due to the long contact area of the two. Thousands of rounds it it will still be tight and accurate.Comment
