    P226 Gadsden

Sig fans may be interested in this special edition 9mm P226 Gadsden. I'm sure it's not likely to make the California roster .

Yes, well it's obviously very unsafe with those rattlesnakes all over the gun.

Apparently they are only going to make 1776 of them, and the release is being timed with the upcoming national NRA convention.

No way this makes the roster--Sig is not going to spend the cash and time if only 1776 are being made.

However, I am sure someone in a free state will be willing to line up an LEO or other exempt party in CA to bring in an off-roster for the 30 day hold and then PPT you one. I am also sure the price will be a steep premium over MSRP which is certain to be very high already. I know an LGS that has at least one special edition P226 (Centennial Sig or something or other) with gold trim--they have had it a long time--the price is outrageous IIRC. This one will be a lot more.

The MSRP is surprisingly reasonable - $1,050, which is only about a $75 premium over the standard P226. I agree the actual price will probably reflect a nice premium over MSRP though.

Probably won't hit the roster, but what's the likelihood of those grips hitting the aftermarket? Very nice. I've been wanting to get a P226 anyway.
