    Please help me choose

I am looking to buy an Glock, and I am thinking of buying an Glock 19 or Glock 17. Please help me choose, they are both 9mm. So now I have hard time choosing which one to get. Thank you

What are you buying for? Range time? CCW? Duty carry? Home defense?

Both are good. I have large hands, so the 17 feels better to me.

Is the Grip larger on 17?

I'd go in and see which one feels better in your hands. I like the full size Glock myself.

My hands are not particularly big, but the 17, 19 and 26 (with a finger extension) all fit my hand like a glove. Try them both out and see which one fits your hands best. I use my 17 for the same purposes as you are planning (HD and range time) and it servers its purpose very well. If I were going to conceal carry, I would opt for the 19 because its more easily concealable. No matter which one you choose, its a Glock, I'm more than certain you'll be very happy with your purchase.

This question can only be answered adequately by going to a rental counter and shooting both a bit.

magazine capacity factors out, since you can put the larger G17 magazine into a G19.

any difference in barrel length or sight radius is likely to be eclipsed by shooter ergonomics, whether the larger hump on the G17 grip is something you like or not.
The Range is a place where you carry a gun around and spend most of your time shooting it.
The Real World is a place where you carry a gun around and spend most of your time not shooting it.

Ditto the "buy whichever is more comfortable" argument. They shoot fairly similar, there is not a massive difference in size (G19 is 1/2" shorter in both dimensions.) Despite the "compact" moniker, I think the G19 is really more of a small holster gun than a true concealment piece.

If you're not going to carry it, get the 17.

I would go for the 19. But either one would get the job done.

                          I agree with Greg -

.40!! Go 23, you can convert it to 9mm by changing barrels!!

                          I don't think you'll go wrong with any glock pick . . .

Yeah, it factors out because both are 10 rounds in Kalifornia.

I'm same as Echidin, I don't have big hands but G17 and my G34 feel just right. You have to try them out.

See if you can try them at a range (via rental) or through a friend who may have one or both. Then, you can make a better decision, after you evaluate them both.
