If my company has no policy against a fire-arm in a locked desk drawer, is there any law that prevents me from having on in my desk? It's not a government building or a school. Part 2, what if it's next door to a school?

No law that prevents you from storing your firearm in a locked drawer at your work.
However, it can't be loaded. Unless, you get permission/authorization by your employer to have a loaded firearm at work.

They may not have a policy specifically stating “no guns”. However, most companies do have some sort of hazardous or dangerous activities or items prohibition that they could use to terminate you if you are caught.
You better ask and get confirmation from your boss.

Also, if right next to a school, it may be considered in the School zone. More laws and regs to worry about.
