Not sure why I did it... but I bought a glock

I have always been a metal gun kind of guy. Wheelguns, 1911's, Sigs. anything but a glock. However yesterday I went to look at a new 44mag revolver and ended up putting a G35 on its 10 day wait. Now i have to start reloading for 40s&w. What did I get myself into.

      Agreed.
Once you spend some time shooting it, they grow on you very quickly.

You got yourself into having an accurate and reliable handgun in .40 that will last you for a lifetime. Congratulations!

My first gun was a G35, and it's still one of my favorites.

I would buy one if a good deal came up 19 or 26 only.

i had a glock 21 and sold it to buy a springfield 1911 loaded. i like the 1911 a lot, but i kinda wish i kept the glock. the 1911 is super accurate, but the glock is more relable. i have only had a few problems with my 1911, but i had ZERO problems with my glock. plus there is nothing easier to disassemble and clean than a glock. good choice.

I felt the same way when I bought my Glock 19 (except for having to look for .40 ). I figured I should have one if I was gonna build up a collection of any sort. I look at it like a Toyota Camry. Reasonably priced. Extremely reliable. Lots of people have them so there's a lot of aftermarket support in parts & accessories. But like a Camry, it's nothing to get really excited about. You'll be happy shooting it after you get used to the grip angle. It goes kaboom every time and you won't feel bad abusing it a little.

It is a well-designed firearm, the Glock Safe Action Pistol. No one should not have at least one. Or two. Some of us like Sigs and H&Ks as well and others. But say what you will about the Glock, and I do since I like Sigs, it gets the job done for many who ask no more than that. And that's saying something.

I own two 1911s. I am a down to the bones 1911 man.

But, I love shooting my friends' Glocks. They are very accurate. Very light. I HATE the grip shape and angle on them, but I love their low bore axis (almost as low as the 1911's). Overall they're great guns... Oh yeah especially if you consider the price.

I wouldn't feel guilty about buying a Glock at all. Heck I'm thinking about buying one sometime myself.

TRAAADERRRR!!! jk, my first gun was plastic, then i recycled it. where do you think i put my leftovers in? hahahahha, they are nice, a little too top heavy for me and kind of snappy. but, its not hard to get used to. its kind of confusing if you shoot your 1911 and switch off to your glock.

Some guns will treat you as good as you treat them, I can give my Glock a cleveland steamer and it'll still love me!
