HK USP 45 Cost

I tried searching for this and couldn't find anything, so hopefully its not a repeat.

I am looking to purchase an HK USP 45 and want to know what a fair price for one new is at a local store. I called around a few places such as Turners and a local shop in Socal and they were going for around $940. That seems pretty steep, is this the normal price?

Budsgunshop = $811 shipped + maybe $50 transfer fee by your local shop (no taxes at the time) = much better that $940 plus $95 in tax.

If you can, order online and have it sent to a local FFL. Usually much cheaper.

I may end up having to buy online, but I was hoping to buy local. If I buy it from a store they will be more likely to help me in the future with questions and problems. And I would also be helping a local gun store.

I only see one HK USP 45 for sale from buds and it only has 12rnd mags. Would they swap them out for 10 rounders?

They're usually around $750-800. Where in SoCal are you?

I'm in Orange County and LA County. I talked to a Turners in Pasadena who said $930 and GunRunnersTactical in Duarte said $940.

no i'm pretty sure they have one for sale with 10 round mags, double check. buds ships quickly too, and they have many shops ffls on file already

Thanks for the link. What stores would do a $50 transfer fee? Seems like most places charge around $100, in which case I wouldn't be saving too much money. Thanks for all the input so far!

Yea, they are out there, I have a private FFL locally who gives great deals. And dont forget the tax savings, $1035 aftyer tax vs. $911 after a $100 fee, still cheaper.

Up here they are $799 with no tax. Add $10 for OSP check and your grand total is $809. I saw them for like $840-$900 in Northern California. Guns are always more expensive south of the border. Up here you can get some guys for hundreds and sometimes thousands cheaper than a 45 minute trip over the border.

I thought if you by from another FFL dealer from out of state, they would still charge you taxes because it's from a dealer. If you buy from a person and not a dealer then they don't charge you tax. Yeah no? That's what Turners told me. Or is that just turners policy?

Turners can't charge you tax, they aren't the selling party, the online shop is. They are simply a conveyor of the property which you have already purchased and just need to register. How can they charge you a tax on something that you already legally own the second your funds were taken by the online store?

They could charge you a tax on the fee they charge but that's it. Now they may not follow this and they may charge a tax, which they could use to bolster their annual sales receipts to the irs.... but they shouldn't.
