I just bought a new SA Trophy Match 1911, I love the gun, though I dont have it yet (pick up on the 28th) I'm wondering why the rear sights have no markings on them. I thought it odd when I was looking at it in the shop, so I'm wondering if that's the way all of them are? Any options available for the rear sight blade? Main reason I'm concerned is that my eyes have enough trouble seeing the white line on my glocks, or the white dots on other sights, with no light color dots to contrast against the flat black rear sight, well, I think it's gonna make it hard for me...

You might want to go with a fiber optic front sight. I have really crappy eye sight and I have fiber optic front sights on a few of my pistols. The glowing dot on the sight is really easy to pick up in the rear sight notch. These are glocks but you get the idea with a plain black rear sight. Mark

Good advice and GREAT PHOTO!
Fiber Optic front sight is such a great improvment. I bought a 1911 second hand that has the Warren F.O. sights and it is by far the best range gun i own now.Comment
