Sig P229 Trigger Question: DAK drop in

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to buy a Sig DAK trigger for the P229 and install it into the regular SA/DA model? Is there a vendor for this DAK trigger? Thanks.

I'll go ahead and answer my own question: this has been discussed at the sigforum. One should call Sig to confirm via serial number that one's frame is compatible with the DAK system. Then familiarize with armorer's course, purchase necessary tools and parts at topgunsupply, double check against parts list at http://www.topgunsupply.com/faq.php. Parts cost comes out to $235. It may be best to swap parts with someone wishing to convert DAK to DA/SA.

Are you wanting to keep this a DIY project?

If not, and your Sig is able to take the conversion (later model), you can send it to Sig. They will do it for $200.
