    Sig Sauer P250

Hope this was not posted. I did use search for the P250

    I've been looking for a .40 S&W and considered the P229...
Well, I may have to buy this instead.

One of the things I need to consider is I have smaller hands. I had an S&W 5906 but it was like shooting a brick and after two mags worth my hands hurt. The P250 looks like it may fit the bill for both size and caliber. Add to this I can get two more barrel kits and have 9mm, 40 S&W and .357!!

Looks interesting but not sure how I like it. One thing that I notice right away is the lower bore line. My biggest grip with Sigs are their high bore lines but the P250 looks lower. I don't know, maybes its just the video. Love to handle one in person.

Is it on the CA list? I have not checked.

I too would love to handle one. I'm gonna check next month (when I am ready to buy) and look for one. If it is not on the friggin roster, I will need to get it out of state which will be an ordeal. You just need family who are willing

But is the .40 S&W and the .357? At any rate, as I continued my research I discovered it's DAO Not to keen on that. I guess I could practice a lot more to get used to that.. but ammo is so costly...

I just checked the DOJ roster and yes leelaw is correct. It seams though that it's only the 9mm, what gives? Also two-tone... Do they mean green slide and black lower (for instance) or is it simply that the inner housing is steel and the outer is polymer? I'm so confused.

            You must purchase the P250 dual-tone 9mm.

Once you have it, you can change from compact to sub-compact and full size; to skinny, medium, and thick grips; to .357, .40, and .45.

              The SIG P250 is modular.
You can purchase the one that's listed (9x19mm compact) then convert it to .40S&W or .357SIG.

Well in that case I may indeed go for this gun...
                Thanks for the info folks.

Just got to play with one. A buddy got one at a local shop and I thought it had a terribly heavy DAO trigger. Broke like a hunk of wood, and in general I just didn't like the fit and finish for the price point. They felt chincy to me and I really thought I wanted one until I felt the final product. The other problem is they're not making 10 rd mags for them. They ship with a 15rd mag and it can't be given out except to LEO. You could purchase a mag as a rebuild kit and then block it yourself, but outside of that, he couldn't even fire the stupid thing yet.

NOTE: I jsut added this line after my post--just realized someone covered a lot of this but I missed that--sorry for the redundancy.

                    A few comments--more than 2 cents--my two bits:

                    1. You might know this, but just in case, but you need to the get .40 S&W or .357 SIG--those frames can handle moving down to 9mm but the 9mm frame cannot handle moving up.Unfortunately only the 9mm P250 is on the Cal Roster (http://certguns.doj.ca.gov select Sig Sauer and see for yourself). FOr a new Cal-unregistered Sig you have a choice of variants of models SP2002, 229, 239 2340, 226 only in .40 S&W. Yes, the PRK sucks. Big time. There is a way to obtain an unlisted pistol legally but it can be complex and I won't go into it here.

                    2. I refer a DA/SA not a DA only the Sig Sauer DA trigger pull is 10 pounds but the HK USP is 11 pounds but both are around 100% more resistive than a Glock's. You should cock it as you draw. Gunfighters with fast draws with single action Colts had to and they did fine--your first shot will be more accurate and that might make a difference.

                    3. There are a lot of Sig's that are listed, see what fits your needs in .40 S&W. I chose a P229 Equinox .40 S&W and got a .357 SIG barrel and the .22 LR conversion kit--both Sig not third party. I may even get a Bar-sto 9mm barrel for fun--all you need is a 9mm P229 magazine. Someone who knows the P250 (I don't because I have focused on alloy frame Sigs for myself for now) posited you can change everything in the P250. Just a glance a Sigs catalog on-line confirms they are right. So you could buy the 9mm that is on the list and change it all around to .40 S&W/.357 SIG as well as frame size. But total up the costs--you cannot use third-party parts as far as I know--it's all Sig and might cost more than you think.
