Renting Guns

Back to the original question, I never rent. I just buy. I think I've rented once in my life, that's it.

at tmw well tell people for 2 people to shoot its about 45 bux for the gun and 2 boxes of ammo(assuming its a higher priced box).

the breakdown is this:


$10 for the lane
$6 for an additional shooter
$6-25(average price is around 9-10 bux) for the rental
$2.89-41.00(as of yesterday, 3/25/07, 9 mil tends to be right around 10.50 a box for the average)



honestly i think the price is more than fair.(not just blowing smoke here) i would much rather spend another 40 bux(tax on a roughly 500 dollar gun) and get a general feel of what im buying.



EDIT: PSSSST! glocks hold up about 3-4 times longer than anything else on the rental rack... ooh wait, so does the S&W model 10s. shhhh dont tell

as for buying from a rental lot, some guns are better than others, we have a couple past rentals that i would snag in a heart beat(i just cant afford it right now, though i did just buy an old rental mk2, in good shape too!), ESP, the Kahr p9 we have, i would buy a rental glock also, we have a hipower thats showing some wear but shoots like a champ too. its just a matter of knowing what to look for when you look at used guns.

ask the clerk, if hes feeding you bull**** you can tell. if you ask me whats wrong ill tell ya. i have no reason to lie, i make no extra money when i sell a gun.
