Sorry but the target version that I have comes with adjustable night sights.

If you dont mind me asking IP are you looking for one? Gonna be adding this to my WTS thread. Going to be asking around $950

I'd go with the combat sights since I don't need the adjustable sights moving around when I get a little rough with the gun. I'd also hate to think what would happen if I got the mechanism a little dirty.

yeah, i got the stainless fullsize combat thinking "of coarse trijicon makes sights for one of the most popular 1911s out there", guess not. That sucks. I know, novak makes some and i can send my gun to springfield to get some, but darn it, i want trijicon ones! but to answer your question get the combat version. it is super accurate. i had a glock 21, it was pretty accurate at about ten yeards, but when i tried a loaded combat 1911, i put the target all the way back (25 yards) aimed for the head of the target and hit it literally right between the eyes. The next day i put my glock up for sale and bought a loaded combat 1911. Ive never actually shot a target version, but the combat is pretty darn accurate, i cant imagine it getting much better.

I bought the GI with 8lbs trigger, I polished the disconnector, sear, hammer, change to 18# mainspring, 16# recoil spring, stone the hammer hooks ( do not change the angle) down to .020, now I got 3.5 lbs trigger. I will change the safety grip and the sights.
Right now the GI could group as good as my Kimber and Les Baer at 25 yards (2" off bench, 5" off hands).
            Do it yourself.

I think the SS/Black combo that the OP posted looked pretty sexy. Personally I'll take the Professional first and then the Parkerized Loaded next, but SS/Black comes in at a clooose third.

You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

                        I have the target.

                        It's sexy and beautiful.

                        Buy both.

I voted combat just because it sounds cooler and tacticool wasn't an option.

Seriously though, voted combat because, although the sights are good on the target model, I just don't care for adjustable sights. I sold the target model listed to a good friend, NIB, because I didn't want to keep the adjustable sighted gun. That, and I'm not crazy about ambi safeties either. Just my preference.

I like the combat better. I personally have no need for target sights or ambi safety, and I just like the look of the fixed sights better. Would be better if the fixed sights were night sights, but I don't have a pressing need for those either.

I voted for the combat for the fixed sights, but the SS Mil Spec is a really good value.

The SS Mil Specs have some seriously tight fit that have no business on 700 dollar guns(well likely closer to 750 or 800 these days).

Unless the Loaded has a match barrel the Mil Spec is plenty of gun for most people.
