Is this normal for Turners?

So... 11 days ago I walked into Turners and got a Ruger P95. I was told they are in the Turners warehouse and would be there last Wednesday, long before my pickup date. So I was going to go on my lunch break but decided to call first and it's a good thing that I did. I spoke to 2 guys there who could not find the gun, but told me the earliest it would be there would be this coming Wednesday. Ummm Excuse me, but I was told it would be there LAST Wednesday. I was told I could call in about an hour and speak to the manager to see if he can locate the gun.

Why can't I have a normal FFL experience? Last time I purchased from On Target in Laguna and because of the A-hole that may or may not work there anymore I will never go back there.


SO... My question for those who have been there.... is this normal for Turners?

I've had decent luck w/ them, but purchased over the counter. They were helpful. I'd give em a call.... and ask for the manager or better yet, go there and talk to the manager....nicely of course.

You do need to assure that you don't overrun the 30 day DROS period, else you have to restart the DROS process... and pay $25($35?) again...

Depending on which one you ordered, most are out of stock wrt Davidsons. And given they just had a sale on these, may have used up local stock.
And calling LGS is usually a waste of time, IMHO...

Ah ive never been to that one, but yeah i havent been to impressed with the workers at Turners in general. sorry u gotta wait longer :/

Started shooting this year and bought both my p22 and SR9 at the Turners in San Bernardino. From inspecting, DROS, to pickup for the two guns I've probably dealt with 4 or 5 separate guys and all were extremely nice and helpful... with the exception of not letting me know the p22 barrels in CA are not interchangeable (probably more my fault for lack of research).

Did you fill out the DROS paperwork yet? If so they probably assigned you a temp serial # until they physically have the gun in the store. Call to make sure it does not mess up your DROS time. If the gun has not yet been DROS'd go in and talk to the manager as to see why it is taking so long to get you your gun. They may be sold out and if so they should at the very least inform you of that. If your really upset shoot off an E-Mail to the corporate account on the website. They are pretty good about following up on customer complaints.

Wow maybe I've just been real lucky to go in only when the professional, knowledgeable people work. Or it could be they only have decent people at the Norwalk store and staff the rest of the chain from the short bus. If I had to guess I've probably purchasd well over 80 guns new from the Norwalk store, and yes while their have been some less than smooth exchanges the vast majority have been pretty top notch. Well I'll keep counting my blessings and hope to avoid all the numbnuts that seem to be employed by them. Just my experience so far.

Had it happen to me at the San Bernardino store. Purchased a Glock 19 with Night Sites, they didn't have it in stock so they had to transfer one in. My jail time ended on a Saturday, I couldn't go by there until Monday. It still wasn't there. They acted like I should have known when their transfers come (they had 12 days to get it there). I had to wait a day or two and go back, then wait for them to try to find it. I found a smaller guy I like who is a little more expensive, but is always great to deal with.

I've bought from Turners a few times. All the guns have been warehouse ones as well, as I didn't want the molested ones in the case. All have arrived before my 10 day wait was up.
But it doesn't surprise me that this happened. They are a bunch of idiots. And their restocking fee is like 40% or something if you change your mind on a purchase.

I have only had a two good experiences with the reseda turners. The norwalk and orange have a team of guys who know nothing about customer service, like to cuss and argue with eachother over who is not pulling their share of weight in front of customers, and also are rude to people who have cash in their hand and willing to spend it their to pay for their commision and hourly pay. Idk, but I wont ever shop at turners untill they get some calgunners in their to sell some stuff.
