Para P-14 front sight measurement needed.

Greetings, I have a Para P-14 Limited. It shoots very high, even with the rear sight all the way down (6-8 inches at 10 yards). It's an older gun with a standard front sight. What I am wondering, if someone has a newer gun, with the fiber optic rod sight that can measure the height of their front sight and let me know.

My P-13 I got in the 90's had the same problem. I ended up replacing it with a taller sight that I filed down to the correct height.

May I ask a couple questions, as MY Para P-14.45 Limited is not reliable at all, even after going to Para service (that claim my barrel was modified, making the ramp steeper - not true as it's stock). Mine was purchased maybe around 1994?

* Is yours an older hi-cap mag style?
* How reliable has it been?

Mine was made in 1999, and it's a high-cap model. So far it has been reliable, but I don't think it was shot that much before I bought it, so some break-in should be expected. Not being able to fire more than maybe 1 mag w/o FTF issues, I honestly haven't observed...?

Chiselchst, I got some aftermarket mags with mine, they will not feed the last round in the magazine, ever. Has to be something with the follower. The factory mags will feed the gun flawlessly.

I only have original Para mags, using that special coupon that came with the gun...thanks though. I have put several hundred thru it, maybe 500. So I think it's as broke in as it can get... And all springs have been replaced with Wolf +15% springs.
