I was quickly reading this story on New York Times and noticed the pistols but I am unable to identify them. Could anyone provide the information on the two pistols?

I think they're the same gun just the one is made to carry a silencerComment

The one the female has is a Makarov; you can see the lanyard loop on the lower right grip. The other one looks like a Stechkin set up for a suppressor.

The first thing I noticed, aside from the whole being a terrorist thing (which is pretty damn terrible), is that he is muzzeling his own hand and leg. An ND could have saved us all a lot of trouble. I noticed the finger on the trigger and/or inside the magwell after that.
