I know this works in a springfield xd but can you do the same with a glock 9mm?

Using a glock 25 mag (.40) in a glock 34 (9mm)?

Are you asking to put 9mm rounds in a 40 mag? If that's the case then I doubt it will work. The feed lips on a 9mm mag are closed more than a 40.
With the XD, in order for a 40 mag to work in a 9mm with 9mm rounds the mag had to be modified, which is a big no no

Try asking on Glocktalk.com. Also, get your model numbers right...it would help narrow down what you're asking about.
With that said, 9mm in a .40 mag generally doesn't work. The lip at the top of the .40 mag is larger than the 9mm...the 9mm rounds won't stay in the .40 mag with any reliability.Sent from Free AmericaComment

That's the question. If you don't modify a 40 mag, but put more than 10 9mm's in it I don't think you are breaking the law. But my opinion is worth what you paid for it
The D.A. might have a different opinion.
It doesn't even matter if it's legal or not IMO because I'm 99% sure it wouldn't work anyways without modding the mag. And if you modded the mag, you would definitely be manufacturing a high cap mag.
And even if you wanted to mod the mag it would almost be impossible because of the plastic outside. With the XD mags being all metal it was very easy to modify it. Glock mags are a different story.Chris

No law broken, wrong caliber mags are perfectly legal to own. You bought a 10 round mag, right?
Best way to tell if it works in your gun is to buy one and try it out. I've run 10rd .40 mags in 9mm guns plenty of times. Some have feed issues, some don't. It's nice to have 13 where normally you couldn't !!!
Anyone who isn't sure if it works or not hasn't tried it! I have, give it a go. What's it gonna cost you to find out? A few dollars difference from the price you buy it at vs sell it if it doesn't work?...Comment

Kinda like how 10round Beowulf magazines are actually 30-round AR mags...Why do we keep letting history repeat itself?....

FYI.Using a glock 25 mag (.40) in a glock 34 (9mm)?
Glock 25 = .380ACP.
The magazines for the Glock 25 are the same size as the magazines for the Glock 19, 23, 32 & 38. So, they are too short to fit in a Glock 34.
The Glock 34 will accept magazines for the (9x19mm) Glock 17, (.40S&W) Glock 22, (.40S&W) Glock 24, (.40S&W) Glock 35, (.357SIG) Glock 31 and (.45GAP) Glock 37.Last edited by Quiet; 03-29-2010, 8:04 AM.sigpic

But 10rd. Beowulf mags wont feed .223/5.56. I would argue that changing the follower to one that would allow the feeding of .223/5.56 would be the manufacturing of a high-cap mag. The key is to not modify the mag in any way. Which is why just throwing 9mm in a .40 S&W Glock mag is perfectly okay.Dom

Speaking from experience; yes, 9mm will work in some Glock .40 mags. I have a G27 w/ a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel. At least 2 of my G27 9 round capacity magazines will reliably feed 9mm. Two others won't. It depends on how tight the .40 magazine feed lips are. If they are well used/worn/loose, they will misfeed. If they are tight, they will feed reliably.
