Impulse bought a SA TRP Operator

My friend was at the range tonight, and decided to sell me one of his 1911s.
One of the first run Springfield TRP Operators with the lovely full length rail.

Barely shot, with a nice 4lb trigger job. And a ridiculously low price...

    I am pleased.

(sorry for the blurry pic, I was shaking with excitement when I took the picture. I couldn't believe it.)

    Had to share.

    B.

    nice

nice deal....does your friend need another friend to sell one to? LOL

    nice pick up
I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum - the most powerful hand gun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question--Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk!

If you get buyers remorse, I'll take it off your hands.

That's a great impulse buy. That's one of the cleanest looking designs of a 1911, and I like the heft and finish.

No kidding, the heft for sure. It just feels so solid.
I'm really thrilled, it shoots great, and it's the diamond of my collection now.
            Just a beauty.

Great pickup, I never really had a liking for railed 1911's but the TRP Operator has grown on me. It certainly doesn't hurt that I ran across the Heirloom Precision Shot Show Operator online either... someone have $6100 lying around?

                      Good get.

The TRP is on my list, the ones I've fired are right up there with the custom manufactured pieces quality wise.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

Nice, I'm neither a 1911 fan nor one of those tecticool guys that want to put rail on everything. But SA's operator full rail is one of gun I have always want.
