    Glock 21 10 round mags....

These mags are hard to load up to 10 rounds. Has anyone else had this problem? I have loaded them up and am going to leave them for a few days to see if some of the tension eases.

Did your mags relax a bit after use?

    Thanks,

    Matt

They can relax somewhat, but it won't be enough, the real answer is to just get an UPLULA from one of our Calguns sponsor vendors.

Both my G17 and G21 mags were the same way. After some use, they ease up.

When I was at the range, the G21 I rented had a mag that was hard to load after 8 into the mag, and you would think a rental range gun would have lots of use, including loading ammo into the mag. I could get the 9th one in there but it felt like that was it, as I could not push down the follower anymore. If I had a speed loader to help push it down, it probably would've broken the plastic arm/casing on the loader. Not sure what was wrong with the mag, but I just let it be and shot 9 at a time.

At the same time, I was shooting a rental XD45 and 10 rounds went into the mag very easily each time by hand, so I'm not sure what was up with the G21 mag.

If they are new, they will settle after some use. You can let them sit with nine rounds in them when you're not using them or just bring them to the range with you for a session. I would still get an Uplula like another member mentioned though, they are still a pain to load by hand even after the mag has hundreds of rounds through it.

Glock 10 round mags are a huge pain in the ***. HUGE. I'm lucky enough to have lawfully owned high capacity mags for 10mm, .45, and 9mm, which is why I can never own a full size glock in .40.

Even with a brand new spring and follower, it is easier to load round 13 into my regular G21 mag, than it is to load round 10 in one of my "low cap" mags. It seriously pisses me off - I feel your pain.

It's tough to get number 16 and 17 into my G21 mags.

I had no idea such a mag existed. I only have 13rd mags. How neat.

My G21 mags are tough but not impossible. For the 10th round I set the cartridge sidways with the rim on the 9th round and push with my thumb, once it goes down I twist it into place and give it an extra push down and in. They have gotten WAY better since having 10 rds loaded in them for the past 2 months.

Do not put 10 rounds in it! I have the same gun, and every instructor or other knowledgeable person I've met said that you can jam the gun when you try to rack that first round if the mags are full. Just put 9 rounds in, and generally, just put 1 less than the max for any mag. Not such a big deal at the range, but potentially crucial for home defense.
