Bobcat is DA/SA, Jetfire is SA only. Bobcat is also slightly longer and heavier and comes in .22LR and .25ACP.
On, and Bobcat is not on the DOJ roster.

This type of gun will do nothing for you in the woods. The noise alone may be a deterrent, but if you really must shoot something to save your life you'll probably die with one of these. If you're looking for small and light since you're backpacking, look at a subcompact Glock in 357SIG or 40SW. That's enough power for most (but not all) instances. A 10mm Glock 29 will fit the bill but will be heavier. My backpacking rig includes a G20. Definitely not the lightest choice, but it'll take care of business. Just took a short 5 mile hike with this on my hip and didn't even notice it was there. Whatever you look at, I'd personally say it should have a minimum of 357SIG or 40SW for caliber. Nothing less than that. You could also look at the S&W airweights in 357 Magnum. Very light with huge power.
