Custom Handgun Refinishing

Hey Guys, anyone know of a business/proprietor/hobbyist in SoCal that does custom gun refinishing (maybe like a brushed/matte chrome type deal)? I know the Armory at the old LAPD academy does bluing but that's all they do... Direct me my fellow enthusiasts

It depends on what exactly you want done. Certain finishes are more common and simpler to apply.

Not anything extravagant, i was thinking a two tone job on either the 92F or the P228. A matte or brushed chrome type deal and deep bluing (black) of the frame. (Images below)

www.davesmetalworks.com does Cerakote and will strip and ship your guns for Ionbond, hard chrome and other finishes unknown to me.

To my surprise (after almost 2 weeks) I just got a mail back from 7.62 Precision:

"We can sandblast your slide to a matte stainless gray. We are not set up to polish steel at this time.

So, we can either coat the slide with a metallic silver finish or put a matte clearcoat over the matte grey steel.
Cost for either of these options would be $230 including return shipping.

The cleaning charge only applies if the weapon comes to us extremely dirty.
If you have cleaned it before you ship it, there will be no additional charge.

The black frame is no trouble.

If you can find somebody that has glass beadblast capabilities, that would be your best option.
That or have someone polish the slide with a brush or polishing wheel.
