I'm looking for around 600 rounds for my new 9mm. I just want some decent FMJ, who has it in stock, my normal places are out? Thanks!

Check out www.ammoengine.com.
Through them, I have found pretty good prices at Widener's, RMAmmo, and Sportsman's Guide.
For RMAmmo, the RMAmmo reloads and BVAC ammo seem to have mixed to poor reviews, so I have avoided those. But, I have purchased several thousand rounds of the Winchester X 9mm from RMAmmo, and think it is great for indoor range shooting. The truncated nose of the bullets are great for paper, cutting slightly cleaner holes. And the brass comes out gleaming clean, just like the Winchester WinClean ammo that I have used.
I have also bought Blazer Brass and Speer Lawman from Wideners, Sellier and Bellot from Sportsman's, all for a decent price.
If you don't recognize the brand, you may want to google for reviews, since I've ruled out a few brands that were cheap, but had negative comments.
The average price per box has been $11.50, and $12.80 per box including shipping.Last edited by SPE; 03-16-2010, 11:00 PM.Comment

I agree. I heard and read alot of poor reviews with BVAC ammo.

If you read the requirements for any of Front Sights courses, your ammo must be new factory stuff. Don't take the chance of having to buy their stuff, because it will be expensive
. Buy new factory ammo and enjoy the course.

I think this stuff is pretty tough to beat price wise right now. Comes out to 15.6 cents per round (at the club price), is 124gr, and would meet the requirements of NEW ammo for FS classes.
I bought some awhile back and have been shooting it and have had no issues at all."Freedom begins with an act of defiance"
