    New Glock Question

I have a new Glock 19 and just finished reading the complete manual. I was a bit surprised that a company that represents it's self as a precision manufacturer would have a few type-o's in a manual that would go out with every gun. They say in the manual that the "Standard Equipment" includes a "Pistol box (tight closing box for transport and safe helping, with locking facility). I do not see a hasp built into the case....am I missing something?

I was also wondering how many Glock owners actually use the brush and rod that come with the gun. I use my own set that I have had for quite some time to clean my other 9mm's.

"CAUTION: The Glock factory cleaning tool is NOT to be used for personal hygiene"

It works just fine, but a good bronze brush is a little more aggressive in removing carbon and lead build-up.

I've been using them and they work great. Why buy another rod and bore brush when they already comes with the gun?

      I loves my Glock.

I already had a cleaning kit so dont use their rods and brushes much. I am sure they work fine though.

Nothing against getting the Glock factory nylon brush 'dirty' at all, just feel a bronze brush will do a better job and I'm used to using them.

The Glock case that came with my G17 has two latches (gray) in color, no hasp per sey. I think mine was made in 07. I know they made different boxes awhile back.

I've never used my cleaning brush since I have a boresnake. Are you supposed to oil the brush and run it through the barrel?

I tend to alternate between the nylon bore brush and a brass. The nylon works fine, but I have the brass one so no use it letting it just sit around. Might as well get some use out of it.

I use both, my other brushes are made of something soft. This is a nice one too.

And to mr gregg dawg, stop teasing me with all your "hi caps" my 19 wishes it came with the standard 15 rounders.

I never touched the glock brush, I just used what I already had.
