    Beretta 9FS finish question

Hi Everyone - First post and I'm a bit nervous. - Thanks in advance.

My 92FS black finish is wearing off on areas of the grip. The Army TM talks about using a "solid film lubricant" to touch up worn areas but I can't figure out if it is commercially available. Can anyone help me with this? What about Birchwood Casey's "Aluminum Black Metal Finish"?

It's a metal frame so it shows more wear. My 92 was my first handgun and no matter how careful I have been it still gets nicked up on occasion. I don't worry about it much.

I wouldn't worry about it. It adds character!

It's an LEO trade-in. It's got plenty of wear!

Yeah, I gotta agree with the previous replies. Mine gets nicked up no matter what I try.

The nicks are about my only complain and a reason I like polymer frames as well. They don't show wear, but I love my beretta's as well. They are my favorite.
