I just picked my first pistol. Should I be using copper solvent on my glock. I fig. Since all I shoot is FMJ it would the best to use.

I don't bother with copper remover in both of my Glocks or in any of my other semi-auto pistols.....I just use Kroil for regular cleaning....

You can always give it a try and if you are not seeing a cleaner barrel, the cost of one bottle of cleaner is not going to break the bank.

I use a combo of shooter's choice mixed with kroil as my regular cleaner, and use KG12 for the copper cleaning.

I started using Sweets 7.62 copper solvent and was amazed at what came out. Give it a shot.

Another vote for Sweets. As the poster above said, you'll be amazed at what comes out.

Only on the inside of the barrel and only if you have copper build up. I used it on my G21 barrel after using American Ammunition and learning the hard way that they only copper wash their ammo.

If you use Sweets, make sure to use it outdoors and stay clear of the fumes. Very nasty stuff.

And make sure to use a plastic bore brush.

And, don't keep the Sweets in the bore too long and do not mix it with other chemicals. I just don't use Ammonia based solutions.
