    Inherited handguns question

It appears as if I have inherited 2 rifles and 2 handguns from an uncle who recently passed away. I will take possesion of them soon and was unsure of the legalities involved. Could you folks help? Thanks...Gary

You don't have to do anything about the rifles (unless they are assault weapons).

As for the handguns, fill out the attached form and send it to DOJ with a check for $19.00. This registers them with DOJ and you will receive a confirmations letter from DOJ in a few weeks.

You are supposed to have a Handgun Safety Certificate before taking possession of the handguns.

It would be much appreciated if you could tell us what the firearms are. Without that information it will be hard to give you a solid answer about the legality.
        Please, calm down.

I am sure his uncle gave him all the high cap mags before Jan 1, 2000. Right Gary?
