Why when the gun came with a lock from the seller PPT.the gun store still made me buy a lock? I can't wait to go shoot it.

You can and should argue. I have in the past, do your ppts somewhere else. If the gun comes with a lock then you shouldn't have to buy another one. Donate the lock to the store and then offer to buy it back from them for a dollar. Congrats on the new purchase!Don't take refuge in the false security of consensus.

Yeah at $10 a pop it isn't going to break the bank but it's the principle.I have more locks than guns at this point.

1. Buy lock from Big 5.
2. Show receipt and retrieve gun.
3. Return lock to Big 5.
4. Lather, rinse, repeat for other PPT's in the future.

For anyone buying old guns from Big 5
When I got a Mosin at Big 5, they forced me to take a lock even though I also have a bunch sitting doing nothing. I didn't want to try to return with my receipt, so instead I returned it a without a receipt for store credit and put it towards a basketball. Big 5 has useful stuff other than guns :-)Comment
