    S&W SIGMA 9MM

i just bought a s&w sigma 9mm for the girl friend. i guess because the price after the rebate and i have 16 shot mags i was given in 1999 . ive never shot the gun yet or any sigma for that matter. i know you get what you pay for . so my questions are is this a decent pistol for the price ,will older sigma mags work in the new ones . i have dry fired a couple and the triggers were rough , can a gun smith fix that or is there parts to smooth it out ,or do i just let her live with it . she thinks the trigger is fine but her shooting experience is limited so she wouldnt know a smooth trigger from a crappy one

wow I love my sigmas but dang there are a TON of sigma threads on here...summary:

Sigma Haters: Worst pistol ever made, cheap glock knock-off with the hardest, grittiest trigger on the market.

Sigma OWNERS:great little pistol for the money. Accurate and reliable as anything else on the market. Trigger is rough but will be smoothed out by S&W for free (consult other threads or the posts I'm sure will follow for details) All around a you-will-not-regret-it purchase

And there you go...congrats on your purchase!
