9mm FMJ in Walmart

In the last couple of days, I spotted in four different Walmarts, they have had a delivery of Ruag Ammotec (Swiss) 9mm at $16.97 a box/50. http://www.rws-usa.com/rws_sport_fmj.php

Looks like decent target ammo, but a little pricey by Walmart standards. Anyone know much about Ruag ammunition?

The walmart down here in San Diego (Aero drive) rolled back the price to $12.52 a box of 50 for the RWS. The clerk have been noting that it was not selling that well before the price decrease.

Hmmm... kind of hard to cough up $16/box when I can get Federal for $10/box right next to it

I was in Walmart the other day and noticed those orange 9mm boxes. But $16.97 is a lil expensive for plinking ammo. Maybe they'll drop the price here too because there was a whole lot on the shelf..

Too bad the cheap stuff is not $9.99 any more. Its now $12.47 around here..

Yeah $16.97 is too rich IMO. The $10 Federal is what I look for. I'd rather get the ~$25 Remington hollow points in 100/box which I see often. I haven't seen the $8.97 Blazer Brass in any Walmart since Obama came into power.

I dont have a garage and do not have the space in my small apt to reload...allot od us would probably like to reload but it just isnt feasible for all to do so noo need to yell!

From what I'm hearing, straight wall pistol ammo is a lot easier to load than rifle calibers, correct? I will be picking up a 9mm pistol in the coming months, and although I've been contemplating reloading for my current rifle, 9mm seems to be a good caliber to "learn" with.

Agreed! I have the space/garage to do it but still won't. Ammo deals are still here if you look.

Yep, just picked up some Rem 9mm 250 round mega packs at the Temecula Walmart for $52. It still doesn't sit on the shelf long though.

Walmart @ Rancho Cucamonga has ton's of that ammo, too expensive.
