Colt Commander lightweight trigger

Hi, has anyone changed the stock tigger on their Colt Commander series 80 to a lightweight trigger? If so what brand and model did you use and did it require minor or major fitting? I want to replace my stock trigger only, not the hammer or sear. Thanks.

Delivered my Combat Commander to my gunsmith today.

Amidst the various parts I gave him was an Ed Brown, lightweight aluminum trigger with steel bow.

It's supposed to be a simple, hand-fit installation.

Guess we'll find out.

I don't like adjustable set screws. It's file to fit the overtravel stop.

I just installed a STI trigger on my Colt. It required some fitting of the trigger but it was fairly simple. Most of the time was spent adjusting the travel.

I read this before the fitting. It should explain a lot for you...
