this is too funny. If you don't load then go to wallmart or where ever has ammo and look for federal 125 grain leadround nose. If they don't have that then buy something that is about 125 grain. Some boxes have the Feet Per Second FPS on the back. Slower the better. This will be similar to what Harbinger said.

Thanks for the input guys, i bought a box of Sellier & Bellot, 148 Gr Wc.
      We'll see
I'm told that's good brass, though I've heard S&B can be a bit tight in the primer pocket. No probs with my odd S&B range pickups, though.

hehe... I was collecting brass before I even got my first handgun...

I really like 3.5 gr Trailboss pushing a 125 gr rnfp. We usually shoot 500 to 1,000 of these a month out of hand guns and lever rifles. Good load for target shooting.

Handloading aside, the same question, commercial loads only, but assume a small 5 shot .38 with alloy frame (specifically a Taurus 851 ultra lite).

Hyrdashocks for HD as a decent "light" load?
          Slow justice is no justice.

I was shooting a Glock when shooting a Glock wasn't cool.

Hydrashoks are pretty standard for HD. My guess would be that they'd be loaded a bit hotter than WWB or other range fodder. You could look up the data somewhere, I'm sure. Better yet, take some to the range to get a feel for it.

FWIW, I have zero experience on the "two way range" but after much research my .357 sits in the safe loaded with plain Jane Remington +P SJHP. If you've ever touched off a full house .357 Magnum load indoors...

I just bought some .38 spl cowboy ammo from ableammo. 158 grain lead at 800 fps. That's about what the ballistics were for the old .38 spl 158 grain round nose lead ammo sold before +P was available.
