Las Vegas CCW permit

I am California ( LA area ) resident. I travel a lot to Las Vegas, mainly on bussness, and it sometakes takes me in so-so areas in the town.

So is there any way I can apply for caring permit in Nevada?

Can anybody point me to the thread or some other web source where I can do some reasearch on the subject?

Yes can get a non-res permit for vegas. Remember that you must register your handguns with the Las Vegas PD "Blue Card" before submitting your application. The class runs about 8 hours. You must apply in person for the gun res and application. PD is only open Mon - Fri.

A nonresident of Nevada can apply in any county in the state. Clark County (Las Vegas) is the least desireable county in which to apply. They take the full time allowed by law to process the application (and then some). It is also the only county in which you would have to register your handguns listed on the license.
