Duly noted. I'll remember this for my next guns I post in the classifieds.

BTW guys, post some pictures of these high round count guns being mentioned. I think it'll be pretty cool to see.

I don't count. However, I have used about 12,000 primers in the last 2 years.

I never kept a log, but my GP100 has shot close to 17K through it if not over. One of my USPSA open gun has had at least 35K+ through it before it needed another upper assembly. That was back in the days of where major power loads for an open gun would be a 38 Super launching a 125 grain bullet at 1450 fps just to be safe at the chrono station. The upper I have on it now has about 15K+, but half of the rounds through it were the newer 168 power factor type. I do have a Para/STI limited gun that has about 20K through it. I don't shoot that much anymore so now I just keep track by how much primers I buy.

I guess I should have added in the OP what time frame also.

Damn, some of you said over 15k. I hope most of it was 9mm because if it was .45 I feel sorry for your wallets

I don't keep track, but was trying to estimate for my GP100.

Was thinking maybe 200 rounds per range trip, at least every other month, had it for 3 years (pretty sure) so low estimate = 200*18 trip= 3,600, give or take.

The most I've shot out of any one handgun is only 11,500 rounds through my Glock 34, the next up was my old Baer TRS that had over 5,000 when I sold it.
I keep track by how many boxes I bring and if I ever bring any back

My G20 is a safe queen. Since 1994, less than 1k. I didn't see the need to use so much ammo once I got the sights zeroed. A box of 50 would easily last me an hour on the range. Trouble is, I keep buying two boxes for every box I use.
The bullets with my name on it I'm not worried about, it's the "To whom it may concern" ones I'm worried about.

congrats on the new gun. What did you get?

Make sure you head out the range as soon as you get it so you can post here your round count

less than 1000 (cause I still have 3 boxes from the case I bought a year and a half ago) through a P6

Kept track of what I reloaded for 44 mag. loaded about 75,000 rounds and most went through a Ruger superblackhawk. Probly put more than that through a High Standard Sport King I shot from 9 years old on up.

How can anyone accurately keep track? Perhaps one can estimate by considering the number of years the gun has been in use, the frequency of matches/training one partakes in, the number of rounds reloaded, etc.

I have no idea how many rounds any of my handguns have seen although many of them are easily into the tens of thousands. They are some I've owned for decades and used specifically for IPSC, training, etc.
