Got it in my hands yesterday, and here's what I got:

1969 Colt Agent

The action is fantastic "as is"!

I've already cleaned and re-oiled the stocks (Howard Feed'n'Wax is the secret).

It's headed to the gunsmith Tuesday to have the hammer removed for bobbing and to be plastic bead blasted for DuraCoat.

I'll probably just put a Tyler T on it.

Nice guns. I get the reason why you bob the hammer spurs -- having had a Cobra cock in my pocket years ago. Those little Colts have sharp serrations on the hammer spur.

Great little revolvers these Agents are! The early non barrel shroud gun is as light as a J frame airweight Smith but holds an extra round in the cylinder, easier to hide than a S&W model 12 with the shorty grips on the Colt.

Nothing wrong with cutting the hammer on one that is not a mint original in my opinion. I recently found an early Agent that has the factory installed hammer shroud, ugly as sin but effective. Mine has a set of the longer non checkered grips on it that I am replacing with a set of Sile skip checkered short grips and of course a black Tyler T.
