    Whats wrong with my gun??

I have my S&W wheelgun in the WTS forum, it has been there for almost 10 days and.....nothing, not even a reasonable offer or trade. Am I asking too much? Not a popular gun?

Also, its listed on the S&W forum, nothing there either!!! input, please......

    Guesses?
    Not a snubbie?
The .38sp conversion removed any collector value (but still, the price is right)?

      Theories

I think the market is limited for guns that are over 100 years old and not particularly collectible. As mentioned above, the conversion to .38 special probably eliminates any collectible value, and those who buy guns to shoot generally want more modern guns. So if you eliminate collectors and shooters from the market, there isn't much left.

If the action works well that revolver would make a great home defense handgun for the money. A standard velocity 38 ammo is at least as good as 380 ammo. Mark

To me, mostly the economy. Looks like a fun gun, and good price, and you are local to me, just wish I was in the position to buy, but instead may have to sell.

Not too many people have toy money these days. The conversion does remove the collector's value, and it looks like your price is just more than today's market will bear for a .38 shooter.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!
