recoil spring guide question

Is it normal for the recoil spring guide to make contact with the part of the barrel that houses the barrel link and pin? There are two little dimples on the back of the spring guide where it is making contact. Has anyone noticed this on any of their 1911's or varients?

The gun is a para ordnance P-13 .45. I bought it used, but im pretty sure its had less than 1000 rounds through it.

Yes. Contact with the barrel is what makes the spring work.
