    Sig P250 rugged? Durable?

I see the Sig P250 has a serial-numbered mechanism that can be transferred from module to module. In most other "plastic guns" the mechanism is molded into the frame. Could that be compared to rebar in concrete, where each reinforces the other? I'm wondering if the P250 will have the same durability as the Glocks, XDs or M&Ps that have their mechanisms securely molded into the frame. Anybody have any opinions?

I have shot a P250 last year. I shot 500 rounds non stop. There were about 20 magazines and someone was loading th emagazines as I was shooting. The pistol had about 25,000 rounds through it already. And all that was done on it was lubrication, no major cleaning. I was able to put all the rounds in 9 ring or better, and 80% of the shots in 10's and X's at 25 yards on B-27 target. I guess it speaks for itself there.

I haven't had a chance to handle one but in the videos i've seen of it seems like the polymer frame is rigid which might not translate well to durability say from a heavy drop , hit with a hammer, or something like that. But that's just from a video it might just looked that way.

I know on my glock the plastic is relatively soft so it would be more likely to absorb an impact.

The fire control unit on the P250 is made of pretty thick steel. The grip assemblies are plastic and also fairly stiff. I think its a pretty great design and open to alot of possibilities. Time will tell how each wears with use.
