Universal Holsters

I'm looking for a universal holster that'll fit both my Glock 17 with a TLR-1 attached and Beretta Elite (with brigadier slide).

I found the N-Force Cyclone holster ( http://www.tommysgunpack.com/PhotoGa...ctCode=TGP-016 ), but haven't found opinions about it...

The thing that I like about it, is that it's on a belt, can also convert to a leg carry.

Any thoughts? Any other holster suggestion?

Save the money, if you really want a universal holster...Walmart has em for a few bucks

The only universal holster I would recommend would be sticking it inside the waistband of your pants.

Forget universal holsters and buy one to fit your pistol. I bought a Blade-Tech for my M&P45 and it's a lot better way to go. Just choose the carry method/belt attachment that you prefer.

that doesn't look any different then the ones you can buy at the gunshow or places like sportsmanguide for $20 or less. Doesn't seem like it's worth $70.

Not sure what you're planning on using the holster for but those types with a snap strap retention like that are not very user friendly when it comes to quick reholstering for tactical type shooting and w/o the strap snapped, there is zero retention. Something with some automatic retention like a kydex type holster is much better.

that thing looks like junk, save your money and get one holster for each gun....one made for your pistol....see blade tech, comp-tac...etc quality that won't break the bank..

and unless you have joined a swat team or something don't get one that attaches to your thigh.....I mean really just don't...

Yeah....an Uncle Mikes kydex will run you about $30-35. So for the $70 you'd spend on the one you posted you could get 2 much better holsters specific for each gun.

Pardon a stupid question, but how are those Kydex type holsters on the guns finish? I know all holster will remove finish, but it seems like the kydex would really wear the finish fast, especially if you get some dust or debris in the holster. Whats the story, inquiring minds want to know.

Kydex will wear the finish faster only at contact points. From what I've seen leather will wear the gun more overall (all the high points), but over a much longer period of time. Kydex wears only at the contact points, then stops. The key is to keep the dirt and sand clean from the inside of the kydex to prevent scratches.

I would assume that if one is carrying a gun in a holster that it's not as safe-queen or collectors show piece. Wear on the finish will happen if the gun is used/carried often. It's just inevitable.

I would think with a kydex the wear would mostly be seen around the trigger guard since that's where the most contact is made during draw/re-holster. The inside of my Uncles Mikes is actually VERY smooth.

Check out sidearmor or raven concealment. Both great holsters and one of the few that will allow for tact lights to stay on the gun. Forget the universal holsters, your gun will not be secure and there are very few that will accept a light. If your stuck on the universal light holder holster, I think Blackwater makes one, it is also molle compatible.

Thank you for helping me not waste my money!

Thought I could save money by just buying a single holster... but sounds like I'll just end up with that holster, along with the specific holsters at the end.
