I'm a 1911 owner

My best friend recently inherited an old 1911. He needed some money so he gave me the opportunity to buy it for a good price. I wasn't in the market but it was a good deal and I wanted to help him out.
I feel like it really rounds off my collection. I have over 20 guns, but no 1911's

I gave him $800 and about $75 in reloading supplies.
Before you tell me I paid too much it actually blue books at a lot more. A lot more. And it's all original parts. I got it for an investment really, and to help out my buddy. I told him he could buy it back if he ever wants it back. It'll probably just be sitting in my safe.

Thanks. I posted it at the 1911 forum and they said because of it's value not to shoot it.
So I'm debating whether or not to shoot it.

After my buddy first got it a few weeks ago we did shoot a few mags through it. It shot good.

It is a collector 1911 Colt by the looks of the grip safety and hammer, but is your collection and who are you saving it for. Go shoot that pistol and enjoy it. Don't save it for someone else.
