I'm wondering if its possible to use any high velocity rounds in these guns. Can't seem to find any info on whether or not this line will shoot +p rounds.. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Not sure if Smith approves it, but people are shooting +p out of them. There is also a .460 conversion kit for it.

According to the manual the only ammunition not recommended for this pistol is +P+ due to pressure variances. I generally don't use +p but to answer your question, yes it WILL shoot them.Comment

I don't practice with +P but I keep my bedside M&P45 loaded with 230gr Federal HST +P."Government is the great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else." --FREDERIC BASTIAT--

M&Ps are plastic guns and they will explode if you use +P. It's science. Then anotherhorsePONY came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a huge sword. My kinda guy.Comment

I don't feel the need for any of that. What I do feel the need for is information that's why i asked. I am thinking about buying an MP45 and wanted to know what type of loads they will fire. Thanks to all that answered my question.Comment
