im considering that or the 92fs

i have fired the 92 9mm and love it!!! but the PX .40s&w cought my eye.

It's a good but unimpressive gun. If you like the 92 I'd go that route or one of the big three... (HK, Sig or Glock).

Why not buy the gun you absolutely know you love (92fs)? Good luck on those two very good choices.

I REALLY like the way the PX4 looks and feels. It is on my "list."
I have a 92 Centurion that I like as well, but it is a little thicker than the Storm.

I would personally go with 92fs. It's a pretty easy gun to shoot. I do have quibs with it, though.

In the end, no matter how many people vote 92 or px4, only you can answer the question for yourself. I say go to a local range, rent both, shoot both back to back so you can narrow down details of what you like and dislike on both guns.

Or... you can be a big baller and just buy both.

The 92fs is a large gun as far as 9mm goes. Like all guns, it has advantages/disadvantages.

Advantages:
Well made gun.
Easy to rack
Not to fussy about what ammo you feed it.
Accurate

Disadvantages:

Grip size - it's a big gun, small hands will have a problem.
Weight - if it's a range gun/nightstand piece, not a problem. If you're lugging it around, it's a problem.
Location of safety/decocker - to me this is a big issue. If you're not careful in racking, you can engage the safety. Imagine going through a malfunction drill in real life and when you rack the slide you inadvertantly engage the safety.

I have hogue thin grips on my 92fs, it helps, but not much for the large grip. Also one thing that is a problem but is easily fixed is the stiff trigger pull of the DA. You can put in a lighter strength main spring/trigger spring (Wolf 16#) that will help that.

I shot the Storm, liked it but my wife wanted the 92FS. So that's what we got.

Do some research if considering the Storm in .40. I read a report on the web that a lot of users of the .40 were complaining about stinging from the trigger that the 9mm users were not seeing. Of course what you read on the web (including the stuff I just wrote) may not be worth the electrons on the screen.

I've never experienced the trigger sting I hear mentioned so often. Some reports speculate it only occurs in cold weather.

My PX4 is a great gun with only the annoying necessity that it must be run very well lubricated and limp wristing will cause FTF.
