    best range in Cali?

Just bought my first firearm, and I was curious about what everypne's favorite Range (indoor or outdoor) was and why?

My Favorite Range is the Angeles Shooting Range. It is outdoors, has a pistol range with metal targets. Also has a rifle range. There is plenty of shade and plenty of tables to put your stuff. The shooting benches are good. It's 16 per shooter and you can spend the entire day at the range for the one price.
      How do you travel...

To be honest, I live in Sac and the best range I know of is just outside of Carson City, NV, seriously.

I agree. The area where you can shoot pistol caliber firearms at swinging metal targets is great. The rifle range is quite long and their concrete benches are very nice. It is a well run, safe range and is clean. I like the reloading store too.

It's not far from LA. I drive 60 miles each way to get there. It's that good.

Stay away from LA Gun Club. Terrible place, price, workers. Only thing worth in that place is they have decent selection of rentals (but all poor condition) and open til mid night.

I live in LA too, but willing to drive to Brea, OC Indoor Range is a small range but good people working there. And they have very good monthly/yearly member price.

^ visited the brea oc indoor range just a few days ago to check their glock/sig prices. didn't see the range but the two guys at the counters were nice even though i probably looked homely since i had just woken up, unshaven, and my hair was all goofy... ha

+1 for Angeles, the Firing Lines in Burbank or Northridge are also nice for indoor pistol ranges, at least if you're a member.

Avoid LAX firing range. Only went there because they had an M&P for rent. Reason to not go is because they have pretty spotty service. The guy behind the counter was taking a personal phone call, keeping my friend and I waiting for a good 15 minutes before he would even talk to us.

For indoor ranges, I like to go to The Firing Line @ Huntington Beach, and Insight Shooting Range in Cerritos. Haven't been to outdoor ranges, so can't help you there.
