xd 45 accuracy

how is the accuracy for the xd-45 or 40 or 9?
i have shot the xd40 before but its been a year since so i forgot
please give feedback,good or bad

The accuracy of the XD 45 is HORRIBLE! Mine can't even hit a barn door from the inside! Then again, I'm like that with any pistol.

There are those who cite it as shooting one-inch groups at 50 yds or more. Dunno if that's gospel, but certainly plausible with this thing. The price is right, too.

I highly doubt anyone cab shoot an XD off a rest, regardless of caliber, into 1 inch groups at 50 yards.

I can do 2 inch at 25 yards on a good day. I'm normally around 3 inch from 10 shots.

i dunno about the 4" or 5" model, but my buddy in the army said the subcompact one kicks ***. if it's good enough for him, i guess it's good enough.!

I have the XD45 ACP 4" service and I love it. I am by no means an experienced shooter (yet) but I can put together a group within about 2" at 15 yards.

I have found it to be very accurate.

I can hit pretty much anything I point it at up to 30yds. Now if I am shooting for groups, I shoot about a 5" group off hand at 25yds. I am happy if I can put all my rounds into a paper plate at 50 yds, which isn't really that hard, just takes practice. I went from terrible to decent with my XD45 with a couple weekends.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I have the 5" model so the sight radius is a little easier to work with.

I have not shot the 45 model but I have shot all of the other sizes. Accuracy is just about the same as a glock. Its no 25yard 10 ring match shooter but its good enough for cans and bottles.

My XD9 and XD45 can pick flies out of the air at 25 yards easy. In fact they are so accurate I routinely smear vasoline in my eyes just to keep it interesting.

My XD-45 is an awsome gun. I usually out shoot my buddy who uses a G21.

XD's are decent in the accuracy department, as accurate as a defensive pistol needs to be, which is on par with the majority of the other polymer pistols. They are not target guns.
