Like 23 Blast on post #2, I use to have one in parkerized finish. I had to sell it off because I found that I am having much difficulty picking up the sights.
I was getting hammer-bites because of the arched MSH which pushes up the web of my hand near the hammer. From the box, FTF/FTE were common I had to replace and tune the extractor, and put in new EGW flat firing pin stop. After those were done, the gun became very reliable.
For what it was marketed for by Springfield, a good replica of a GI 1911, it is a good gun. There was a nice article on it in September 2004 in Shooting Time magazine written by Sheriff Jim Wilson.
