    Please help me decide...

My birthday is coming up and the wife has given me the green light to buy guns. Here's what I'm leaning towards:

    1. HK P7M8 and Hammerli 208 - both in great condition or
    2. Sig P210-6 (ANIB)

Difference in price between the two options is 300 Euros - with the Sig being the more expensive of the two.

NOTE: I'm not buying to collect...gun(s) will see range time.

        Nice choice of guns...

Is this a package deal, in which you can choose between two guns together, the Hammerli and the H&K, vs. one gun alone, the Sig?

If that is so, I would personally go for the two gun combination of the Hammerli (.22) and the H&K (9mm). Both of these guns are classics of their type and much in demand in the US. Probably they are more readily available in Germany where you live.

The Sig P210 is tempting, and is generally considered one of the premier 9mm target guns. I like Sigs but I'd rather have the first two guns together.

Having shot both the P7M8 and the P210 I would go with the P210! Good luck!

              Miltiades,

The HK and Hammerli is not a package deal. It just happens the price for both falls under the max I've been "authorized" to spend.

The other consideration is that under German law, U.S. Forces are normally only allowed to own not more than 4 personally owned handguns. Since I already bought two last year (HK Expert and SIG P226), getting two more at the same time right now means I won't be able to get the P210 at all (unless I sell or get rid of another one).

Anyways, thanks everyone for your inputs.

Greg-Dawg, if you mean a Desert Eagle, they run between 1900 - 2500 Euros (way over my budget). I fondled a chrome .50 AE DE...very impressive, but man that's a big-a** gun!

I'd undoubtedly go with HK P7M8 and Hammerli. But this is just me

Somebody bought the P210 before I could get to it so I ended up buying the P7M8 and the Hammerli. Still not a bad deal...$876 for both (at the current exchange rate) Now I have more money for mags and ammo!

Only bummer is that I have to wait at least two weeks before i can get the guns on my weapons license (dang Army and German bureaucracy) and pick it up. I'll post pics when I get them. Thanks for all your inputs

Well, having shot all three pistols, I would go for the P210 9mm (almost any version) and then save up for the Sig .22 coversion unit (expensive devil and so are its magazines) and have the best of both types of ammo---my P210-2 spends almost all its time with the .22 in place.
