      I want one.

It is not on the approved list.

It does not have a CA DOJ approved chamber load indicator and it does not have a magazine disconnect.
So, it is highly unlikely that it will ever get on the approved list.

Even assuming that a handgun has the required features not all manufacturers want to pay the testing fee.

          True.

And it's likely that factoring in that Diamondback Firearms is a new company with the DB380 being it's only product, they may be concentrating on producing it, instead of spending money on making it compliant for the few states that require additonal features.

I called them and talked to them on the phone. The guy said "maybe" down the road, but that it just wasn't a high priority for him.

I thought about trying to explain that b/c we can basically only buy Hi-Point crap or LEO hand-me-downs out here that there's a pretty pent up market for it, but then I thought nah, he'll figure it out.

I'd love a baby Glock in 380, even a baby Glock clone in 380.

BUT, the good news is that Kahr P380 is on its way here. That ought to deflate the used LEO 380 market off pretty quickly.

              Hmm, interesting looking.

The grip angle is practically 90 degrees though, not a huge fan of that.
Either way, hope it gets on the roster. It's starting to grow on me the longer I stare at it.

I'm actually pretty interested in both of these. The Kahr is supposed to be on the roster soon.

the Diamondback DB380 has a lot of issues right now. It is not reliable at all. Do a search on other forums and you will hear a lot of unhappy owners.

Care to share any examples? Almost all of the reviews that I've seen have been mostly positive except for a known 100 round break-in recommendation (similar to Kahr in that respect).
