"Plain Jane" (sort of) Glock 17 snapshots

With all of the hype about the new-style Glock frames, such as the skin-removing RTF and the jump-on-the-interchangeable-backstrap-bandwagon Gen4, I very much appreciate the simplicity and usability of the Gen3 frame. As a way of recognizing this, here are some "Plain Jane" (sort of) Glock 17 snapshots. I say "Plain Jane" because it is a GSSF 10th Anniversary Commemorative, 1000 of which were made in 2001. It has a special serial number, specifically "GSSF" plus three digits, along with engraving on the right side of the slide, between the ejection port and muzzle, but is otherwise identical to a "Plain Jane" Glock 17. The serial number range is GSSF000 through GSSF999.

They switched to the 3 pin frame about 500 units into production. You each have an early and later run gun. Kinda cool, thanks for the pictures Ken.

I am beginning to wonder how GSSF will commemorate their 20th anniversary, which is next year (2011)...

            I know. a GSSF 20th Anniversary Glock 18!
